Smoking a Trinidad Vigia
The Colorado Claro wrapper of the Trinidad Vigia has invisible seams and very few veins, with a slight spring to the touch. The wrapper smells of hay and pepper and has the renowned pigtail cap of the Trinidad brand.
The stick fires up quickly with a medium body and lots of smoke. The tastes are bready and sweet with a dash of white pepper rounding it off. An umami meatiness is introduced, balancing well with the coffee and strengthening pepper.
The retrohale is worth mentioning at this point, as it’s rare to find a stick that’s improved by the flavor of its retrohale, but this one is an exception.
Through the middle third, the cigar grows in flavor until it reaches a medium level – an outstanding flavor that leaves a slight sizzle on the tongue.

Simply Amazing To say this is a nice cigar is like saying the Beatles were a nice band. This is an absolutely amazing cigar. I’ve been smoking Cigars for 20+ years, Cubans and non-Cubans and this is the best cigar I’ve ever smoked. The taste is remarkably balanced with a slight taste of coffee. Take your time with this cigar as the aroma and the taste will continue to reward you. Although short, this is a 90 minute cigar.To say this is a nice cigar is like saying the Beatles were a nice band. This is an absolutely amazing cigar. Very special cigar Personally, for me Trinidad are the true premium Cuban cigars. I know lots of people love Cohibas but there’s something magical about a Trinidad cigar and for that reason, I’ll always pick this cigar over other premium Cubans. The Vigia is a brilliant after dinner smoke. If you love Cuban cigars this is definitely one you must try. Thank you Swiss cigars!!Personally, for me Trinidad are the true premium Cuban cigars.
